RC4 LumenDimMIOR2 Wireless CRMX Transceiver

The RC4 LumenDimMIOR2 is an ultra-compact wireless DMX transceiver that operates as both a CRMX transmitter and receiver. Featuring up to 100mW RF output power, Bluetooth connectivity, and full RDM support in both transmit and receive modes, it delivers professional-grade wireless DMX functionality in an exceptionally small form factor.

Functionally similar to the LumenRadio Moonlite, the LumenDimMIOR2 offers flexible wireless DMX integration without an internal battery, allowing it to be powered from a wide range of external DC power sources or battery packs.

Each RC4 LumenDimMIOR2 includes one 1dBi antenna and one 3.5mm Miniplug to 5-Pin Female XLR adaptor cable.

Transmit & Receive Modes

The LumenDimMIOR2 supports both TX (transmit) and RX (receive) operation modes, selectable via the CRMX Toolbox mobile app or using the recessed Link button.

In transmitter mode, the device wirelessly distributes a full DMX universe to any number of compatible CRMX receivers. In receiver mode, it outputs standard wired DMX and supports wireless RDM communication with compatible controllers and fixtures.

Full support for ANSI E1.20 Remote Device Management ensures reliable wireless fixture configuration and monitoring in both directions.

Wireless Performance

The LumenDimMIOR2 uses a genuine LumenRadio TimoTwo RF module featuring Cognitive Coexistence technology, intelligently reducing wireless congestion and improving reliability in busy RF environments.

Typical operating range is approximately 60m (200ft) under normal conditions, with significantly greater range possible when using high-gain or directional antennas via the external RP-SMA connector.

While direct line-of-sight is not always required, dense structures such as concrete walls may reduce signal strength.

CRMX Toolbox App

Compatibility with the LumenRadio CRMX Toolbox app for Apple iOS and Android devices makes configuration fast and straightforward.

Using the app, users can:

• Set and manage Linking Keys
• Monitor RF signal strength
• View DMX and RDM activity
• Access advanced device settings

Connectivity

The onboard DMX connection uses the RC4 mini-plug format. A 3.5mm miniplug to 5-pin female XLR adaptor is included as standard, with male adaptors also available separately.

The DMX output exceeds the standard DMX specification requirement of 32 connected devices and is protected against static discharge and excessive line loading.

Power is supplied via onboard screw terminals and supports a wide input range of 6–35V DC, allowing operation from battery systems or external DC power supplies.
