RC4 LumenDimM4 Wireless DMX Dimmer

Compact and powerful, the RC4 LumenDimM4 is ideal for smooth RGB, RGBW and RGBA LED control. Small enough for discreet installations, yet powerful enough to drive multiple MR16 halogen lamps, the LumenDimM4 includes all RC4 Series 3 features including Cross-Fade control, HSL colour mixing, and the RC4 Flkr Engine™.

Each RC4 LumenDimM4 is supplied complete with one 1dBi antenna.

Overview

The RC4 LumenDimM4 is a compact, low-voltage (6–35V DC) four-channel wireless DMX dimmer built using the LumenRadio CRMX / CRMX2 wireless platform. Designed for props, costumes, practical effects and scenic installations, it is ideal for driving LEDs, lamps, motors, servos, and other low-voltage devices.

The unit delivers ultra-smooth 19-bit dimming, high-power halogen control, advanced servo positioning, a sophisticated wireless effects engine, and comprehensive RDM (Remote Device Management) support.

Advanced Colour Control

With four dimmer outputs, the LumenDimM4 is perfectly suited for RGB, RGBW and RGBA LED systems. The integrated RC4 Wireless Hue/Saturation/Level (HSL) Colour Controller delivers exceptional colour consistency throughout the entire dimming range.

Using 19-bit dimming resolution, the system maintains precise colour ratios even at extremely low light levels. Unlike standard 8-bit DMX colour control, which can appear stepped or uneven during fades, the RC4 HSL Controller provides smooth, highly accurate transitions throughout the full intensity range.

Digital Persistence™

The natural warmth and fade behaviour of incandescent and halogen lamps has long been favoured by lighting designers. RC4 Digital Persistence™ recreates this characteristic using LED sources, producing beautifully smooth fades and natural dimming performance. Eight persistence settings are available to emulate different lamp types and filament sizes.

Flkr Effects Engine™

Four independent dimmer outputs provide an ideal platform for the RC4 Wireless Flkr Effects Engine™. Using standard DMX channels, designers can quickly create dynamic animated lighting effects including firelight, sparks, flicker, welding effects, and more.

Unlike traditional preset effect generators, the patented RC4 Flkr Engine™ gives designers complete creative control, allowing highly customised effects tailored to individual productions and installations.

Connectivity

Screw terminals are provided for DC power input and connection of load devices (+/-DimA, +/-DimB, +/-DimC and +/-DimD). Dimmers switch on the negative side of the circuit, making the unit ideal for common-anode LED tape systems.

The integrated 3.5mm mini DMX port supports both DMX input and output using RC4 adaptor cables, including 3-pin and 5-pin XLR options. The port can output DMX to nearby fixtures or be configured as a wired DMX input for standalone dimmer operation.

Comprehensive RDM support includes E1.37 dimmer configuration extensions, along with real-time monitoring of voltage, temperature, and current status.
