RC4 LumenDimM2 Wireless DMX Dimmer

A compact two-channel wireless dimmer, ideal for bi-colour LED tape and low-voltage practical lighting applications. The LumenDimM2 includes all RC4 Series 3 features, including Cross-Fade Mode for smooth colour temperature control using warm-white and cool-white LED sources.

Each RC4 LumenDimM2 is supplied with one 1dBi antenna.

Overview

The RC4 LumenDimM2 is a compact, low-voltage (6–35V DC) two-channel wireless DMX dimmer built using the LumenRadio CRMX / CRMX2 wireless platform. It is designed for driving LEDs, lamps, motors, servos, and other low-voltage loads in props, costumes, scenery, and practical effects.

The unit delivers exceptionally smooth 19-bit LED dimming, powerful tungsten lamp control, servo positioning, a sophisticated effects engine, and full wireless RDM (Remote Device Management) support.

Advanced Colour Mixing

The two-channel design is ideal for warm/cool white applications or dual-colour LED mixing. The RC4 Cross-Fade Controller maintains highly accurate colour ratios throughout the entire dimming range, even at extremely low intensity levels.

Unlike standard 8-bit DMX control, which can become visibly stepped at lower levels, the LumenDimM2 uses high-resolution 19-bit dimming to ensure smooth, consistent fades and natural-looking colour transitions.

Digital Persistence™

Lighting designers have long favoured the natural warmth and smooth fade characteristics of incandescent and halogen lamps. RC4 Digital Persistence™ recreates this behaviour with LED sources by applying carefully engineered fade smoothing. Eight persistence settings are available to emulate various filament lamp responses.

Connectivity

Screw terminals are provided for DC power input and dimmer outputs. The dimmers switch on the negative side of the circuit, making the unit ideal for common-anode LED tape installations.

The integrated 3.5mm mini DMX port supports both DMX input and output functions using RC4 adaptor cables. This allows the LumenDimM2 to control nearby fixtures or operate as a wired dimmer when required.

Comprehensive RDM implementation includes E1.37 dimmer configuration support, along with monitoring for voltage, temperature, and current status.
