The RC4 LumenDimM2micro is an ultra-compact 2-channel CRMX wireless DMX dimmer designed for LEDs, lamps, motors, servos and practical effects in costumes, props and miniature scenic applications.
The discreet unenclosed circuit-board assembly is specifically engineered for installations where space is extremely limited, allowing it to be hidden easily within costumes, fabrics, handheld props and scenic elements.
This version features an external antenna connection via a compact u.fl connector, providing flexible antenna positioning and improved wireless performance where required.
Each External LumenDimM2micro includes one 2.4GHz u.fl antenna assembly.
Overview
Built around the LumenRadio CRMX / CRMX2 wireless platform, the LumenDimM2micro delivers exceptionally smooth 19-bit dimming, advanced dual-colour LED control, wireless RDM support, servo motor positioning, tungsten lamp dimming, and sophisticated effects functionality.
Despite its miniature size, the LumenDimM2micro offers the same advanced functionality found in larger RC4 Series 3 dimmers, making it ideal for professional film, theatre and live event applications.

Advanced Cross-Fade Control
The two-channel output configuration is ideal for warm-white / cool-white LED systems and dual-colour mixing applications.
The integrated RC4 Cross-Fade Controller maintains highly accurate colour consistency throughout the entire dimming range, preserving precise colour ratios even at extremely low intensity levels.
Using 19-bit dimming resolution, the system eliminates the visible stepping associated with conventional 8-bit DMX colour control, producing exceptionally smooth fades and natural-looking transitions.
Digital Persistence™
RC4 Digital Persistence™ recreates the natural fade characteristics of incandescent and halogen lamps when using LED sources.
Carefully modelled thermal fade behaviour produces smoother, more natural transitions with selectable persistence settings emulating different lamp types and filament sizes.
Connectivity & Installation
Power and dimmer outputs are connected using a compact Amp MTA-100 6-pin connector. Each unit includes one connector with 15cm flying leads for installation.
Alternative connection options are available including mini screw terminals or direct solder connections for maximum compactness in custom installations.
Dimmers switch on the negative side of the circuit, making the unit ideal for common-anode LED systems and LED tape.
The RC4 mini-plug DMX port supports both DMX input and output operation using optional RC4 adaptor cables, including 3-pin and 5-pin XLR connectors.
Comprehensive RDM support includes E1.37 dimmer configuration extensions and live monitoring of voltage, temperature and current status data.
Wireless Performance
All RC4 LumenDim devices include a genuine LumenRadio TiMo CRMX2 radio module, ensuring compatibility with CRMX2, CRMX Classic, and Wireless Solution transmitters operating in G3, G4, G4S and G5 modes.
The external u.fl antenna connection allows flexible antenna positioning and improved RF performance in installations where signal optimisation is important.
A version with an integrated onboard chip antenna is also available for applications where minimum size is the highest priority.
Film & Television Use
The LumenDimM2micro was selected by the lighting team for use on the Netflix series Stranger Things.
